Today was pretty much a normal day except for a buzz call I got this afternoon from a name I’ll not name (not that you’d know him, it’s just not vital). He’s in some distress and I’ve done my best to help him in the past, but it just seems like it’s futile. He never seems to take excellent advice or reckon he’s done anything really incorrect. His whole life has been like this. I’m always having to be the one to tell him that he’s on the road to total destruction. I have to say things that I don’t want to say, but I care for him… and a name has to say it. I’m about to wash my hands of it and just try to be there if the flood ever subsides. I can’t let it change my family by getting to involved. Dammit.

Oh… and a 430ex through an umbrella above camera.

Fire reflect in the eyes noted! One of your best here.
Who is Ed Ppelin?
Fantastic shot. I’ve been where you are many times. Sometimes a person just has to ruin everything nearly them before they come nearly. Other times even that doesn’t do the trick.
If you’ve bailed this guy out of jams in the past you’re really telling him it’s OK with your actions while telling him he’s gotta stop with your words. Guess which one they’ll take note to……

@ shockingbird Thanks, wasn’t sure anyone else was gonna notice that, but I thought it was a nice touch.
@ carlos.benjamin Yeah, I’m early to know that. But it’s so hard to hear/mind.
Very freakin’ cool! And sooooo right!
Another day when we had similar dreams. I reckon our brains just align on podcast day.
As for your supporter. That’s rough. Trust me, I know what its like. I’ve been dealing with a similar situation of late. If it’s educated me anything, its that you can’t help a name who doesn’t want to be helped. Sometimes you just have to throw your hands up and hope for the best.

I freaking LOVE this.
Also, the flames in your eyes are a masterful touch. God, the focus, the concept, the composition, the lighting, the editing, your expression… Jesus man it’s all top notch. Well done man. My hat is off to you. I can’t go on enough.

fantastic photo. the eyes detail is really cool.. and wasn’t there a small pointy tail in the middle of those flames?!
@ chrismaverick I reckon you’re right about our podcast day mindmeld! Let’s just hope no one thinks we’re trying to be twinsies LOL. As far as my problem… you’re right. But it doesn’t make it any simpler to mind the train wreck.
@ Jack Scoresby Coming from you… I take that as a huge compliment. Your comment made my morning!
@ macaddict Thanks.
@ Helder Thank you thank you. I wish I could say that I did the tail, I kind of forgot about that. It’s just an artifact from the real flames. LOL… my neighbors must reckon I’m crazy. I spent a excellent 30 minutes lighting stuff on fire and snapping photos in my driveway.
